New Pelican Computer Cases Make Airline Travel Safe for Apple Computers

Date: 09/13/2007

The following release was created by Power PR, a business to business marketing public relations firm based in Torrance, California.

For the professional road warrior, CPD Industries, Inc, a leader in packaging technology, has unveiled Mac Pro Pelican Cases. These indestructible computer cases, computer shipping cases are designed to protect costly Apple Mac PROs or Power Mac G5s, their 30" Cinema Displays, and accessories such as keyboard, mouse, and cables within custom foam interior compartments.

Complying with TSA regulation, the Mac Pro computer cases are built around world-famous Pelican cases, offering Pelican's legendary Unconditional Lifetime Guarantee; "You break it, we replace it--Forever."

The virtually indestructible outer shell, custom inner foam combination provides complete protection from travel-related shock, vibration, temperature fluctuation, spills, water, dust and humidity, while making transport easy with wheels and a telescoping handle.

The Pelican computer cases meet MIL-STD 4150-J for stacking (400 lbs.), drop test (48"), immersion (2" at 160 °F), and meet or exceed the highest airline, military, industrial or commercial standards. The computer carrying cases, computer shipping cases are designed with a lightweight space-age resin unaffected by dents, scratches, or corrosion with four times the strength to weight ratio of conventional injection molding.

Once the road warrior seals the Pelican cases, they're air, water, spill, and even dust proof flying at 30,000 feet or submerged 30 feet below water due to multiple latches and a neoprene "O Ring." The computer is surrounded and cushioned by a special closed cell foam designed to absorb shock, impact, and vibration. Because the closed cell foam does not absorb water and it has longer shelf life, unlike open cell polyurethane, it provides continual long-term protection to sensitive computers.

Also available as an optional accessory is the TSA Accepted Combination Lock, which expedites airport inspection, allowing airport personnel (who have special access keys) to inspect the contents of Pelican computer cases without needing to cut locks for security inspections.
