SpectraSensors Named as a Red Herring 100 Finalist

After a rigorous evaluation process, the Red Herring editorial team has informed SpectraSensors, Inc. of their inclusion in the 200 Finalists for the Red Herring 100 North America Awards.

The selection means SSI has been selected as one of the leading 200 private technology companies in North America.

Evaluations were made on both quantitative and qualitative criteria such as financial performance, innovation, management, strategy, and ecosystem integration.

Red Herring Spring 2007 is being held in Monterey, CA on May 1 - 3, as part of the magazine's tradition of honoring innovation and entrepreneurship in the business of technology. This year's invitation-only event marks the 10th Anniversary of the Red Herring 100 Awards. More than 300 attendees, including entrepreneurs, venture financiers, and corporate strategists are convening under the theme "Ten Years of Innovation and Disruption" to discuss major trends and opportunities, and to explore partnerships, alliances, investments, and M&A activities. Additionally attendees include CEOs and founders from the 100 Winners and Finalists.

The Red Herring award is an acknowledgment of SpectraSensors as an innovative leader in their field. The company, headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga, California, was incorporated in 1999, as a technology spin-off of the NASA/Caltech Jet Propulsion Laboratory. SSI is a leading manufacturer of a well-known optically based gas analyzer and moisture sensor for analytical process markets. SSI uses Tunable Diode Lasers Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) in an array of products such as Ambient Air Monitoring Analyzers, Moisture Analyzers (Hygrometers) and Gas Analyzers for Natural Gas Pipelines and Processors, Petrochemical Refineries and Chemical Companies. SSI Gas Analyzers measure Moisture (H2O), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), Methane (CH4), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Ammonia (NH3) Ethylene Oxide (ETO) and more.
